RANCHO CORDOVA - Alyson Huber has announced support from school board members and superintendents from throughout the 10th Assembly District in her race for the State Assembly.

"Education must be one of the state's top priorities," said Huber. "I am proud to have the support of so many local education leaders. I know that Sacramento doesn't have all the answers and I will continue to work closely with those on the front lines to help our students get a better education. I look forward to working with the entire education community to fight for our students."

Education leaders supporting Huber for Assembly include:

Kay Albiani, Los Rios Community College Board
Brian Cooley, Sacramento County Board of Education
Gustavo Arroyo, Sacramento City Unified School Board
Don Terry, Sacramento City Unified School Board
Zak Ford, Folsom Cordova School Board Candidate
Mick Founts, San Joaquin County Superintendent of Schools
Teresa Brown, Chair, San Joaquin Delta College Board of Trustees
Steve Castellanos, San Joaquin Delta College Board of Trustees
David Sorgent, President, San Joaquin County Board of Education
Van-Ha To-Cowell, Lincoln Unified School District School Board
Ken Davis, Lodi Unified School District Board of Education
Colleen Boardman, Stockton Unified School District Board of Education
Dr. Vicki Barber, Superintendent, El Dorado County Office of Education
Dick Glock, Superintendent

Alyson Huber knows firsthand the value of public education. It is because of public education that Alyson was able to pursue higher education and become the first person from her family to graduate college. Raised in Lodi, Alyson graduated from Lodi High School before attending San Joaquin Delta College in Stockton. Because of her national success on the debate team she received a scholarship to California State University, Chico. After state budget cuts threatened to dismantle Chico's speech and debate team, Alyson transferred to Cornell University where she received her Bachelor of Science with honors. She came back to California and received her law degree from the University of California's Hastings College of the Law.
