Alyson Huber understands the importance of a good job. She was the first in her family to go to college. She worked to put herself through college and law school.
In the Assembly, she is working to reduce excessive regulations that hurt small businesses. She provided tax relief to manufacturers of green technology, creating jobs and new businesses.
Her work has earned her the endorsement of the California Small Business Association, National Federation of Independent Business and Rancho Cordova Chamber PAC.
She provided millions of dollars in tax relief to homebuyers and provided assistance for those facing home foreclosure with free workshops.
In early 2009, DART Container Company employees attended a local townhall Assemblymember Huber was holding in Lodi to hear about issues from constituents. Employees approached her about a proposed law (AB 1358) that would have banned the types of products they make in the DART plant. She listened to their concerns and met with team members to learn about their products. To better educate other members of the legislature on the products, including efforts to recycle, she organized a tour of the facility. After the tour, the bill did not move forward and hundreds of California jobs were saved.
