Cutting Out Waste & Fraud

Alyson Huber fought to eliminate unnecessary state boards that were stacked with political appointees making over $100,000 a year, but met once a month.

She has called for regular review of hundreds of state boards, commissions and departments.

If the boards cannot demonstrate they are being effective and efficient, they will be automatically eliminated. This long-term reform will save California billions of dollars.

As Chair of the Joint Legislative Audit Committee, Alyson Huber led bipartisan efforts for increased audits of state programs and transparency in local government.

Her audits are cutting waste and eliminating fraud and abuse.

Huber has fought for more transparency and has called on state and local governments to disclose their salaries.
